This blog is designed to enable viewers to post their comments on various subjects related to The Torrington Company's demise as a separate corporate entity. We will try to answer the question "Why?" and hopefully provide guidance to other Companies who might find themselves in a similar situation. We will also try to be a vehicle for alumni to express their thoughts

Hope everyone had a great, as usual, time but why hasn't there been any comments that we, who could not be, can there read. C'mon guys, loosen up! I am in time to wish each and every one of you the greatest of Holiday Seasons.
Bill Goodrow

Norm,Happy New Year! Hope it is a great one or you and yours. We ended with 2011 with another well received Big T Gathering at Cornucopia. The turnout has been very consistent over the years (between 120 and 150) although the group is always an interesting mixture of perennial and new attendees. This year we again had several new folks who traveled some distance to make the event. These included Jeff and Mary Petry (NH), John and Valery Santos(NH), Steve and Kiki Edmondson(ME), Pam Yeske(SC) and Kokubu san from Japan (for the third consecutive year!). The link to the photos is below and perhaps you can post this on the blog when you have a chance. Meantime, thanks for all you do for the Torrington alumni. Skip(860) 601-2366
Hi Norm, Bill Goodrow here with yet another big thank you for compiling these messages. Skip's super pictures have become a very important thing for me to look forward to as you announce the annual Christmas get together. This has not been one of my better years since my old nemesis, Cancer, showed up twice this year and in 2 entirely different locations which cut the heart out of the year for me. Recovery now as I get older is longer and more painful so my ability to look in on my old and in some instances dear friends has become very special to me. Seeing the likes of the Wassungs, Dave Gridley, Ray Wynn, Bill Duquette, Jeff Petrie, Steve Edmondson, Jim & Diane Hickson, Scott Duncan, and no way could I forget Tom Francis and so many more that I am sure that I am leaving someone out and for that I beg forgiveness. These are wonderful things for me to see and once again my profound thanks to you for getting this out for those of us who can no longer travel to use to follow our friends of old. I must say however that I did not see Betty Hilton nor Dave Ahlman and I do hope that they are well. I do not see conversations in this link and wondered if I am missing something and, if this is burdensome for you personally, please let me know and I shall stop. My very best to you and through you to all of the Big T alumni. Bill Goodrow
